Loose Threads

When we were driving from Wyoming to Manitoba we stopped where the 'welcome to North Dakota" sign was for a picture. There was a family already there doing the same thing, and our exchange as they were heading out went something like this:

Her: What part of Kansas are you from?

Me: we are actually from Vancouver Canada

Her: oh, sorry - couldn't tell from the licence plate (the 2010 olympic plate)

Her husband (sitting in their car): I guess you must be a big Boston Bruin fan.....

Me (outside voice): nice one
