A day in Banff

We had a great day hanging around
Banff, Alberta today.

We took the opportunity to go for a walk around Lake Johnson (right near Lake Minnewanka, which is the largest lake in the Rockies).

We saw the Hoodoos (located toward Tunnel Mountain).  We are hoping to see the more impressive collection of hoodoos in the Alberta badlands in the next few days.
The picture shows the Bow River in the background.

Paul, Chloe and Jessy on Banff Avenue at 10:00 pm!
It was a little chilly by the time we got to Bow Falls.
The weather changes quickly here in the Rockies!

  1. You are all looking so relaxed! Love the photo of Heather and Paul with Rocky Mtns. I`ve lived in BC all my life and never been to Banff.

  2. There's a lot to see in Banff! As Paul posted, town centre similar to Whistler (shops, etc.) but lots of unique sites to see and do around the area.
