PEI

It's Saturday night and we are hanging out in the airport awaiting our friend's getting here from Vancouver. So in order to not let the time be wasted, we are taking full advantage of airport wifi - charging up everything and even doing a quick blog update.

Got here yesterday. Drove over the Confederation Bridge which was unbelioevably far and surprisingly curvy. Kept thinking that if they can build this bridge then why can't there be a bridge to Vancouver Island.

Headed for Charlottetown and after an afternoon of wandering the quaint streets we settled in for dinner at the Peake's Quay restaurant and bar, which offered a great patio overlooking the ocean. In addition to a nice meal and great scenery, we also discovered that we were in an "official restaurant of the Will and Kate Tour" for a belated brush with fame.

After dinner we checked into the Cavendish Beach campsite and found our awesome spot overlooking the beach. Chloe went for a swim in the Atlantic ("very salty Dad") and we got the tent set up. It wasn't until a bit later that we realized we were in for a windy night. The video gives you a little taste of what life was like inside the tent. All night long...
