G'Day Sydney

Fresh off of a 16 hour flight from Santiago (with a 20 minute stop in Auckland that allowed us to rampage thru the Icebreaker store) we arrived in Sydney. As much as we all enjoyed South America, there is a certain pleasure in being able to read and understand signage, as well as carry on an intelligent conversation with people who are trying to assist you.

After navigating the local train to get downtown, we found the hotel and confirmed that we had some exploration time before we could check-in.

First stop was The Rocks, where we discovered a pancake place. Now, we have all been craving pancakes. Especially if they come with maple syrup. So even though we had already had 2 breakfasts as part of our flight, we settled in for another round. After all, it is the most important meal of the day.

"What Chloe Ordered"

Once we finished up, we spent the rest of the time doing some shopping downtown, as well as seeing an iconic sight or two:

  5. Are those bird cages? Sounds like a bit of stress relief being in an English speaking country. Had a great retreat at Whistler...we're all better techies and really tired! Have a great visit down under!

  6. Yes, those are bird cages. Glad to hear the retreat was good - guess I'll have to wait until 2013 to join in on the next one!
